numbers out in just a few hours. fox business network diane macedo is here now with more on what to expect. good news or bad news? >> well, heather it depends on how this report comes out. right now it is not looking too great. right now the jobs report is one of the most important pieces of economic data. we are going to get this out lart this morning. this one holds even more weight because it's the second to last one we will get before the presidential election. the economy is estimated 113,000 jobs last month which would be up from the 96,000 in august. both numbers are well below what is needed for a healthy economy. unemployment rate is expected to kick up slightly from 8.1 to 8.2 percent. be will be looking for the labor force participation rate. that shows the percentage of working americans who has a job or are looking for one. that numbers fell to a 30 year low in august. it's a sign more people either aren't interested in finding a job or may be too discouraged to look. that report comes out at 8:30 eastern time and as usual fox business will have all of the numbers live from th

one of the nation's largest banks of massive mortgage fraud. diane macedo is here with more. >> the government filed a $1 billion lawsuit against bank of america alleging the bank's countrywide unit engaged in a scheme to defraud fannie mae and freddie mac between 2005 and 2007. they took a program called hustle which intentionally designs processed loans at high speeds without quality checkpoints. they sold the loans fraudulent or otherwise defective to fannie mae and freddie mac which got stuck in $1 billion in losses and foreclosures when the loans defaulted. b of a says it has been working with fanny and freddie to buy back the mortgages it is responsible for. bank of america has stepped up and acted responsibly to resolve mortgage matters to claim we have purchased loans from fannie mae is simply false. they scant expect to claim losses that were caused by the economic downturn. we could see this play out in court. jp morgan chase are facing similar accusations. >> diane macedo. thank you. >>> 48 after the hour. not once not twice but a third one is the charm for a robb

dollars. here now to explain is fox business network diane macedo. >> a congressional research shows testing in welfare program at roughly $1.03 trillion that doesn't include social security and medicaid. they identified 83 overlapping welfare programs that together represent the single largest 2011 budget item and found the federal government is spending roughly $746 billion on them while states are contributing 283 billion. the two percent increase in the federal shares since 2008 by comparison the 2011 annual budget for social security was 725 billion nondefense spending with 540 building. medicare was 480 billion. a report shows gdp growth has contributing factor to spending but also points out federal policy has encouraged increased welfare and increased federal standards. they have quadrupled since 2001. they have a variety of programs aimed at expanding enrollment including a partnership with mexico among foreign nationals. the department of state and homeland security waved the legal requirement that people entering the u.s. not be welfare reliant. it is a hot button issue so
